Agreement
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Al Muslim for use of the-muslim.org and related product domains, including Safhah, Maktabah, Rafiq, and Nizam. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Our services
Al Muslim provides non-commercial educational and community tools. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of a service with reasonable notice when practical.
Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep credentials secure
- You are responsible for activity under your account
- Institution accounts in Nizam may be managed by authorised administrators
- We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or threaten security
Acceptable use
You agree not to break the law; attempt unauthorised access or disrupt our systems; upload malware; harass others; misrepresent Al Muslim content as fatwa or professional advice where it is not; or resell access / scrape commercially without permission.
Content & intellectual property
Al Muslim branding, software, and original site content are owned by Al Muslim or its licensors. Book texts and scholarly works remain subject to their rights holders — see also Copyright & usage.
You keep ownership of content you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it as needed to operate the features you use.
Rafiq guidance
Rafiq provides educational answers and citations to help you learn. It is not a mufti, not a substitute for qualified scholarly counsel, and not professional legal, medical, or financial advice.
Library materials
Digital reading is for personal study. Physical loans follow the rules of the participating library or masjid. Do not redistribute copyrighted materials from our platforms without authorisation.
Nizam for institutions
Organisations using Nizam are responsible for the accuracy of information they publish, for obtaining required consents, and for complying with applicable law. Al Muslim provides software tools; we are not the operator of each institution’s programs unless expressly agreed in writing.

Services are provided as available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free content.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Al Muslim and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the services.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
