An initiative for the ummah.
Al Muslim is a family of free projects with one aim: to make authentic Islam more accessible — through inquiry, reading, tools, and community.
It began with a simple frustration: the deen is rich, but the access is scattered.
Answers are hard to verify. Good books are hard to sit with. Masjids run on group chats and spreadsheets. Knowledge sits behind a language barrier. Al Muslim is the attempt to fix these — one focused, carefully-built project at a time, each free and grounded in evidence.
The name says it plainly. Not a brand, not a personality — just the Muslim, and the tools that help them question, learn, and live.
The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī
Principles that shape the work
Authenticity first
Grounded in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the understanding of recognised scholars. Evidence over opinion.
Honest about limits
We’d rather say “we don’t know” than guess. Tools defer to scholars; they don’t replace them.
Accessible to all
Free to use, clearly written, and open to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Craft as worship
Beautiful, careful work honours the subject. Excellence (iḥsān) is the standard.
Ṣadaqah jāriyah
Built to benefit long after — knowledge that keeps giving, not a product to sell.
Focused tools
Each project does one thing well, instead of one app doing everything poorly.
The work is ongoing.
Use the tools, share them, or help build. Every bit of benefit is a share in the reward.
